That is how I feel about this week!
With the kids having Spring Break this week, I thought I had prepared well by sending them to their grandparents for the week. You know, fun for them and time for me. True, I wanted a little time to relax, maybe visit with a friend over coffee, and if the planets aligned nicely, get a pedicure. But mostly, I wanted time to clean and organize the house, laundry, groceries, run errands, write some curriculum, prepare for an event, sew a little, write posts, read, and work!
Somehow it is already Thursday night and a lot will be left undone by the time I leave to see my kids, husband, and his parents on Friday afternoon. I am going to try to not be too disappointed since I was gone from the house a lot more than usual this week. Along with my regular T/Th schedule, I worked extra (Monday & Friday 1/2 days, Wednesday all day), got to love on the 4-week old baby girl (AND her 2 1/2 year daughter-cuz if she knew I was writing about her sister, she would INSIST I mention her, of course!!) of one of my co-workers when I took her food and goodies from the office girls, participated in 2 interview meetings for a children's minister (which got me home after 10 PM each night!), and completed Easter and grocery shopping along with the rest of the city!
The rest will have to wait!
At least until I am up against the deadline to finish what needs to be done next! It seems these days, that is how I roll. I don't like it because it goes against my nature, but lately it can't be helped.
Oh well, at least I can look forward to relaxing and having some fun with the kids this weekend!
I hope everyone has a HAPPY EASTER! Remember the true meaning, but don't forget to have a little fun too!

I'm enjoying your blog and can really relate to all the "kid stuff" -- especially since our kids are the same age.
