Back in the game!

I sewed yesterday!

I felt sooo rusty and that always makes me nervous about actually starting a project. I still need to order the fabric and sew a bassinet cover and a moses basket cover, but I thought I would dip my toes back in with something simple.

Isn't it cute?!

(I won't discuss all the grumbling I did as I was working on the armholes! Blasted armholes!)

I bought this fabric an eternity ago just because I loved it! It was a remnant and I just knew I could do something with it one day.

I can't wait to show it to you again on my daughter, but that will have to wait.

I made it for her for our family/pregnancy pics. Her in the dress. The rest of us in jeans and complimentary shirts; me-pink, brother-white, dad-black. What do you think? I think I am also going to have me and the kids do black flip flops. Husband is not much of an open-toe shoe person. Plus, my daughter is getting a big fat bow in her hair which will look super cute with her new haircut!!

It has been raining since Tuesday night and supposed to continue until Saturday. We are supposed to take pics on Saturday, but may wait until Sunday. Pray for us some good weather! I don't mind overcast, but would love the rain to stop soon.

Mama needs to take these pics soon before I turn into the blimp!!

I love the outfit for your daughter! Yes, your color scheme will look great, I'm sure. I'd love to start sewing again too, but I don't even have a sewing machine, so that's not likely to happen anytime soon.

You did a great job on the dress. We need a tutorial or a link, please. :)
