Y Y Y

is it that the male gender is "ill"-equipped to handle getting sick?

At least the problem starts early so we have fair warning!

Little man started running a fever yesterday. 102.5 to be exact. He was finished with school and was headed to the extended care part when he started crying for me. They said he had been fine all day before that.

Luckily, I was able to escape work quickly thanks to all my co-workers/moms helping me with my clients.

He was pretty pitiful when I arrived; feverish and crying. He cried all the way home and after we arrived. With a little medicine and some liquids, he began to recover.

And of course, when a 3 1/2 year old boy starts to recover, it is back to his typical antics. Running around, playing with his cars, and irritating his sister!

But as I figured, we are dealing with a magical virus.

Now you see it.

Now you don't.

When I checked on him around 11:30 pm, he was burning up again and breathing heavy. Thankfully, he took his medicine before requesting I sleep in his room. He was restless for quite awhile which meant neither of us slept very well.

Of course, this morning, he is fever-free and busily drawing me some very important pictures.

Who knows how long the disappearing fever will last, but I am very VERY thankful it was not any other type of virus. If you know what I mean!

This is actually our first round of sick this year. I really thought we were going to escape it at the rate we were going.

I am really really hoping no one else around here follows his lead!

Sorry, so FF's today. I am too tired!

But don't forget to come back Monday for the party!

Woggie had an on again/off again fever Wednesday through Saturday of last week. We were glad to see it go!

Hope your little man feels better soon!

Bear did that last weekend. He was sent home Friday with a fever. Gave him some Motrin and he acted fine. The next morning he was burning up. Gave him more Motrin and he was fine. About 6pm Saturday night the fever came back. Then it was gone Sunday completely. He ate fine, slept fine, played fine except for the fever. It was just weird.
