I am a planner and organizer by nature. And while I don't mind temporary messes, I also very much like things to have a place.
Sometimes though, I let things go to a point that I go into freeze-mode. My action plan gets frozen by the overwhelming nature of what I need to do. Silly, I know, especially when once I just get busy on the task, I get it done relatively quickly.
Case in point:
Laundry!
Laundry and grocery shopping are two things I just don't enjoy because there are too many steps in order for the task to be complete! Today, I will just woe-is-me about laundry
Steps:
Gather, Separate, Wash, Dry, Hang (what is necesary), Fold, Iron (what is necessary), Put away.
Did I forget anything?!
I have GOT to stick to a schedule. I know it works and I really need to make it work again so I don't end up like this anymore:
The last two loads of ALL the laundry from this past week+ that needed to go through ALL the steps of the process. This is my mole hill compared to the mountain it was!
HALF of the CLEAN laundry from the previous week that I still had not folded and put away! It was so bad, that I had to run ALL of it through the "dewrinkle" cycle before I folded it.
My kitchen table during the Fold and Put away process. If you look close, you can see the top of my sweet boy's head!
My tackle started on Friday and was finished by Saturday afternoon!
My goal?
To tackle laundry 3 days a week; Sunday evening/finish Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
And either the greatest lesson I learned from all this OR a sad fact is.....
My children obviously have way too many clothes because in those two weeks, the only thing I had to go hunting for in the clean laundry piles was underwear for my son!
Happy Tackling!

laudnry is usually my downfall as well!
I just finished folding the laundry my husband washed on Sunday. Sad, I know...but I hate laundry.
Thank you for stopping by my blog during the giveaway earlier this month! It's always nice to meet new bloggers!
I hate grocery shopping too. Laundry, I make myself do, not so bad, but grocery shopping, the pits.

I actually don't mind the laundry. That said, there is a veritable volcano of dirty clothes exploding in the closet as we speak! Gotta go tackle.
Hey, I've been trying to email you but hotmail keeps kicking it back to me. grrr. anyway, you can never go wrong with cheese pizza or eggplant parm at Joe's!! (That is, if the quality hasn't changed in the last, um, FOUR YEARS!)
I hate putting laundry away and I try to tackle it daily so it doesn't build up.
Good for you!! Laundry is just one of those jobs that's never really done, but it feels so good when you get on top of it for at least a little while. Good luck with your laundry schedule! ;o)
i'm kind of a freak. i enjoy doing laundry. it's kind of therapeutic.

all too familiar... but, I don't have a laundry "room" - UGH!, I have to go out to the garage!
Mount St. Laundry can be a pain. Looks like you have it scaled at last!
OH, the perils of Mt. Washmore...I feel your pain! I detest doing laundry. And the grocery shopping? I feel the same way too. And you hit the nail on the head as to why...too many steps!
Great job tackling all that though! I need get back on the Tuesday Tackle wagon!
