We finally know what his name will be when he arrives in May!
After many, many attempts by each of us to persuade the other, we finally compromised. I still think that he made me leave a lot of cool, and frankly great, choices on the bargaining table. BUT I am happy with our final choice.
Here is the short list of what did not make the final cut:
Beck
(This was one of my #1 choices. I still really like it!)
Brock
(This was our initial possible agreement until someone made a joke about "Barock". It quickly got nixed! I still like it though-Brock, not Barock!)
Cash
(This was one of my #1 choices, although it is getting used more than when I first wanted it 5 years ago. I still love it!)
Ford
(Nope, he is a Chevy man, he said. Whatever!)
Pierce
(I liked it. He said it was too much of a last name for him. I liked it!)
Ryder
(This was one of my #1 choices. Even 5 years ago.)
Tripp
(We kept it on the list, but probably wasn't the favorite of either of us.)
Jagger
(Middle choice only. I almost got this as the middle name last time around, but he chickened out. I still like it.)
Porter
(Most likely a middle choice. He didn't like it from the beginning. I thought it was cool.)
Brody
(First or middle choice. I really liked it, but he never became too fond of it. He said that I was reading too much "Popsugar"!)
Slater
(Most likely a middle choice. Again, he hated it. He said it was too snooty for him.)
Harley
(Middle choice. I thought it was cool, but I was surprised that he didn't. My friends thought they were funny when they suggested "Harley Ryder". You know somebody out there has done it!!)
Major
(Middle choice. Probably didn't have a chance, but it seemed kinda cool.)
There you have them! Since we are not having any more children, feel free to use them for your own if you wish!
And on a complete side-note....why is that a pregnant woman must spend the majority of her pregnancy hiking her pants up?

Great post, but are you not going to spill the beans and tell us his name?
Well, I don't know what the name will be, but I bet I'll like it 'cause I like all the names on the list even though they didn't make the cut. I even like the name Tripp even though I've only ever known one Tripp and he was a bit of a doofus. Still a pretty cool name, though! Congratulations on the baby and best of luck keeping those pants hiked up! :)
your necklace is almost finished......I love knowing a big secret!! What a tease you are to your blog friends!!
Thanks for sharing these names. . . there are some that I've never heard before. I actually like the Brock choice, but given your recent political changes, I can understand your thinking on that one. I actually know a kid (actually, he's a young man now) named Brock. And my cousin has a 10-year old son named Brock as well. But in Canada I doubt that anyone has made the connection to the U.S. President.
The only problem I see with that particular names is if his second name were to be Lee. Then his name would be Brock Lee; too close to broccoli.
I can hardly wait to find out what you are going to name him. Just out of curiosity, what was your top pick for a girl's name if you were to have another girl?
Wow, those are some great name choices. I'm excited to hear what you did finally choose. I bet it's a great one.
I like the name Beck too.
Oh my goodness, I love almost every single name on your list! I can't wait to hear what you picked!!

If those are the NAYS, I can't wait to see what you picked!
