I Love Rock-n-Roll!

I used to do such fun (at least in my opinion!) birthday parties for the kids, but had taken the simple route the last few years.  The kids throughly enjoyed those years as well while I enjoyed less stuff coming into my house!  That being said, my little man (can I still call him that?!) had a Rock Star that couldn't wait any longer to come out, so we jumped back on the party wagon this year.

I also have to say that I pride myself on as much fun as possible as cheaply as possibly, so free location and low-cost fun really made the difference.

Welcome to the party!!

Hope you are ready for the show!

Are you ready to ROCK?!!!

I said, Are you ready to ROCK?!!!

Meet the band.

Behind every Rock Star is a GREAT Mama!

Working it!

Enjoying some pizza before the show.

And a little milk!

Freeze Dance!

(We also played Musical Chairs and spiked the boys' hair!)

Back stage break to make their own guitars.

The band leader got the silver guitar!

The rest of the band had red guitars.

Can't you just hear the crowd?!

Mama attempted her first (and likely her last!) homemade birthday cake!  I am totally leaving that job to my sister!

Making the wish!

May all your Rock Star wishes come true!!!

Stacey

p.s. Just for the record, this birthday party just about killed me.  RSVP'g doesn't seem to be in anyone's vocabulary anymore, so we went into the party blind as far as food.  Let's just say, we had pizza in our freezer for awhile!  THEN, I just happened to have a strange combination of semi-inattentive parents AND THE WILDEST BOYS EVER all rolled together.  Maybe I will reconsider the over-priced bounce party next year!!

I LOVE the cake! And I'm experiencing the same thing with RSVP-ing these days--not just to a party for kids, but for ANYTHING that requires and RSVP. I think our world is just getting less and less considerate (same goes for the inattentive parents). In any case, it looks like a lot of fun was had by all!
